The Lichfield Angel
Stone relief carving of an Angel, made originally in the 8th or 9th century for the new coffin in which the relics of the 7th century Anglo-Saxon Bishop, St. Chad of Lichfield, were to be borne. Some of the original colour can be seen, since there were all painted. This is often known as the "Lichfield Angel."

Consecration of Bishop from 8th Century Switzerland
Consecration of a Bishop, from a wall painting in St. John's Church in Mustair, Switzerland. The Bishop-Elect to be Consecrated is preparing to kneel at the Altar, while one Bishop behind him is placing the Gospel book on him, and the other Bishops are helping, and preparing to lay hands. It's very difficult to find a lot of high quality, color, photos of the interior panel and church wall paintings in St. John's Abbey. It contains probably some of the best preserved church paintings in Western Europe from the 8th century.

10th Century Anglo-Saxon Reliquary Cross
A Cross with Saints Relics originally contained it; made in the 10th Century in England. Additional photos can be found in the above link. Notice that the older form of depicting the Crucifixion was with both Feet of Our Lord nailed separately, and not together.
Abbot Walafrid Strabo (+840) on Veneration of Icons
Every now and again one encounters claims that Abbot Walafrid Strabo (+840), the Abbot of Reichenau Abbey on Lake Constance, did not accept the veneration of icons, but, rather simply thought they were nice decorations and nothing else. Many of us have seen this repeated over and over again, often without any actual primary source references. Thankfully, a translation exists of Abbot Walafrid's "Libellus de Exordiis", in which he takes the position that sacred Christian images are given "sincere and moderate veneration." In other words he opposes destruction of images, since any damage done to the icon redounds to an act of dishonour to the one it represents, but he also opposes ignoring icons, as well as giving "immoderate culturs" or "spiritual cultus" to icons; spiritual cultus being his phrase for what in the East was termed "latria". The admission of icons deserving "honesti et moderati imaginum honores" [i.e. "honest and moderate honors of images"] accepts the teachings of St. Adrian of Rome, and the Seventh Ecumenical Council. Abbot Walafrid only opposes "excesses" in venerating icons as well as 'spiritual cultus' [latria], not the veneration itself.

St. Michael Frees a Soul from a Demon
The Holy Archangel Michael freeing a departed soul from the grasp of a demon. From f.104v of the Prayer Book of Archbishop Arnulf of Milan [+1018].
Bishop Ecclesius of Ravenna
From the early 6th century apse mosaic in the Basilica of San Vitale in Ravenna; beside the Angel is shown Bishop Ecclesius of Ravenna (+532). He is shown holding a small church with an Angel helping. In terms of episcopal vestments the mosaic provides pictorial confirmation of the written records at the time. Bishop Ecclesius' vestments are also easily recognizable; he is wearing the old-style full conical chasuble with a simple pallium / omophor over it; if you look at bottom, where his chasuble ends, you can see the pontifical dalmatic showing, and then below that the two ends of the priestly stole are visible, and then the white alb.
